1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 apples, pared and sliced
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

Sift flour with baking powder. Put all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Spread mixture into a greased 9-inch pie plate and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
